When filming our opening sequence there is a number of risks that could be caused by our methods of filming used.
These include:
These include:
- When we filmed one clip that involved the actress getting a needle up close to her mouth we had to make sure that it didn't pierce her skin. This could of been a hazard as if the person who was holding the needle slipped it could of caught her and she could of been harmed. If her skin was to get pierced or scratched we would of then made sure that the right medical attention was there for her if it was needed.
- In one of the other clips the actress was being fed 'guts' that was made out of mashed up banana and red food colouring. Before we carried out this bit of filming we had to make sure that the actress was able to consume the product we had made. If she was to effected by the banana and food colouring mix we would of made sure that she had the right treatment needed. If she was fine with the product we had to make sure that the person 'force feeding' her was to make sure that she didn't choke on it. If she was we were able to et her the medical attention that she would of needed.
- One of the actress had to hold a blood type substance in their mouth for a few minuets and then have it spat out. This was made out of golden syrup and food colouring. We had to make sure that the actress wasn't allergic to anything that was in the two products used. In the clip you could also see that it was made out that she had been hit in the face with a mallet, we had to make sure that we didn't hit her with the mallet but for it to look real. Before filming we talked through with her what was going to happen and if she had been harmed we would of taken her straight to seek medical attention.
- One of the clips we have filmed is made to look like the actress is having chillies rubbed into her eyes. when filming this we had to make sure that the chillies that were being chopped up by the male actor where to go no where near the actresses eyes. To make sure that this didn't happen when we filmed the chillies being chopped up we made sure the glove he was wearing had been swapped before they filmed his hand near to her face so that there was no trace of the chilli going towards her eyes. If there was to be a trace of the chilli that had gotten on to the eyes of the people that were handling them we made sure that we had a eye wash there to clean the eyes out. If that hadn't work then we would of asked for medical advice straight away.
- In one of the clips it looks like the actress is having a substance syringed into her arm. Before we did this we made sure that it was a new syringe out of the packet and that it would pierce or scratch the skin. If the syringe was to scratch/pierce the skin then we would of made sure that the injured party was seen by the nurse for the right medical attention needed caused by a injury if someone was harmed.
- In one of the clips it looks like the actress is having her ankles broken by having a mallet hit her boot. To make sure that it wasn't her actual leg that got hit with the mallet we stuffed her boots with newspaper to keep it propped up. Before carrying out the scene we double checked that we wasn't hitting her ankle. If we was to hurt her ankle or feet and we thought that it may need some medical attention then we would of made sure that we could of provided it.
- In one scene was to have some false nails pulled off one of the actresses hands, to make sure that the nails weren't going to harm her real nails then we only stuck them on with a small amount of nail glue so that when they got pulled off they didn't hurt her. However before we stuck them on we had to make sure that the actress has worn the nails before and that she wasn't allergic to any of the substances that were in the glue. Throughout filming we had to be careful so we made sure that if she need anything due to a reaction or caught skin then she would of been treated by the right person.
